checking in commander…

Ahh news to post… news to post.

Well a most exciting day was had STUDYING HARD at Jake’s place for history. It was all in the past, and therefore history… mwahahaha

Secondly, Seb is back in action, which means that Brett and he are now remarried after consoling each other no doubt with a naked back rub or something equally disturbing. The good news for me is that Seb suplies a erratic but amusing supply of flamage, random shit and crappy layouts, and the lack thereof over the last however long was missed. Awwwww. The best thing is that I don’t have to change my links, as I never got around to removing him in the first place. Three cheers for laziness!

Thirdly, not a single trick-or-treater disturbed either Jake and I at his place, or my family at home. Disappointing Australia – that although our leaders seem all to keen to brown-nose the good ol’ yanks, we don’t follow suit. I remember trick or treating once or twice in the good ol’ days, no-one was prepared and we ended up with a mixture of crap, teabags and cash… :P

[edit] it has come to my attention that halloween is today. I hate you Jake.

Finally, I hate you all…. there are now less than 5 days to go….

I broked it

The blog is broken.

Long live the blog.

I think it has something to do with the new refer stats that I installed today. I can’t login to b2 anymore, so I can’t use anything but this compy for the time being. If anyone knows whats happened, email me. Please.

edit: OK I think I fixed it. Something to do with not being specific enough with what exactly refer was to log. I am so smart.

A letter from the powers….

I got a letter today… registered post and from the government…

Gulp. They’ve found out about my illegal immigrant program and are extraditing me. A WEEK OUT FROM EXAMS TOO!!#$@

No, not really: it was my passport that had arrived. I complained to the post office because it was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but instead of knocking on the door and getting a signiture, the lazy fuck of a postie just put a slip in our mailbox saying we weren’t home and that it could be picked up after 10am today. I was home all day >:o

111

111!!!!! MY SITE MADE 111 HITS YESTERDAY!!!

Thats a new record by ONE hit. In honour of this mammoth acheivment, coupled with finally getting Google pagerank, this entry is shown in red. The outgoing record was set in May of this year, at a very decent 110, thanks solely to Paul Hasleby’s penis. The gauntlet has been thrown down…

partyness

Yeah I know a Friday-Saturday doubleup for going out a week and a bit out from exams isn’t such a good idea, but fuck it. :P

Last night was spent, completely alcohol free, watching Star Trek with two mates. I haven’t ever been much of a Trekkie (dad used to make me watch episodes for philosophical meaning :P ), but its actually half decent. Philosophically very deep, action packed and scientifically semi-acurate. Maybe I should check it out in more depth when I get more time. I was ready to commit suicide after the 4th episode though… its tough for the uninitiated :P

This evening was spent at what may become the best party ever. The alcohol was easily accessible, which is a good thing although I chose not to drink much, and WE GOT TO FLY AROUND IN AN AEROPLANE!!@$@#$@#$

Yeah… suck on that one. Who here got King Island Airways, or any other airline for that matter to shuttle people around the skies during the party? I thought as much. Mind you, Joel’s dad OWNS the company, but nonetheless it was an awesome idea and came off really well. Checked out the various sights of Melbourne on our 30 minute cruise around the skies… tres cool.

Now a Sunday of study to look forward to…. great. Although how responcible am I? Leaving the party mega early to tend to my education. Very noble of me if I say so myself. :P

not again….

What the fuck. Today has been awful.

Not only have I been invited over to Jake’s for a Star Trek watchathon (dear lord) tonight, but dad came home a couple of hours ago to tell us he’s got more cancer. JUST what we all need, and especially 10 days out from exams.

Thankfully, because he’s had cancer in the past, he’s checked so often that there’s no time for the growths to really get hold of him, so what they’ve found is only tiny, but still: more cancer equals more hospital time which equals a shit time for the whole family. We’re meant to be going away in January too… bloody hell.

Anyway I’m of to help Jake and his mum install a new BBQ before another mate comes over and I start contemplating suicide or homocide or something over countless movies and episodes of said Trek… :P

Valedictory Dinner

Well… it’s over. I wore my school uniform for the last time ever last night.

The year 12 Valedictory service and dinner was last night. I’ve always been told it rates with the most enjoyable memories of many old collegians’ times at Wesley, and that was proven to be true for me too. The memory of the night will stay with me forever… awww

It was very much a bittersweet occasion. The excitement of getting out of school forever was definately around, and there was a certain happiness of never seeing the place or people again, but also feelings of nostalgia and sorrow for the lost friends and uncertainty of not being at school anymore. Come February next year, apart from the fact that I’ll be overseas doing other shite, I think it will really hit me that I won’t be going to school anymore – not pulling on that purple blazer again. Ever.

That was what made the night special. The school had a service in St. Pauls cathedral, one of Melbourne’s biggest and best known churches, and then had a reception service udner the Regent theatre in the Plaza ballroom. The night was good – to have a wonderful time in the presence of parents was a little disorientating and weird, but they really aren’t that bad… Of course everyone else was in the same boat, so it wasn’t too bad anyway.

Christine Nixon, the police commissioner for Victoria came in to speak to us as an inspirational guest of the College. She actually spoke amazingly, and coupled with good food, good wine and an amazing atmosphere the whole thing was tres enjoyable. Dad, mum and I caught the last tram home at 12:30am. :P

The single photo of the evening – it was taken sometime after the main course, yet there were developed, printed copies ready to be bought when we left… I’m trying to decide whether it was digital or just really well organised. Apologies for the crappiness – its a photo of a photo :P

Speech Night

Yay! Speech night rehearsals tomorrow! MY FAVOURITE SCHOOL HOLIDAY!

Except now we’re off school, and it was never any fun anyway. What a waste of what surely will be a perfectly good day. What’s worse is Porter is more than certainly after my blood. Dear lord, save me now.
