mmm bed…..

It’s been a long time since I’ve been bored / procrastinating enough to post three times in a single day. It’s also been a while since so much of upstairs has seen this much chaos and paperflinging. Infact sometime in May would have been the last time. It’s not quite as messy or terrifying for me now, but there is more coffee, thanks to a swanktastic new espresso machine.

Hewitt and ball stroking

Hmm.

I think I’ve always been a little worried about our (Australia’s, and until recently the world’s) #1 tennis player. Not only does lil Lleyton himself look a bit shifty, and isn’t the prettiest thing around, he’s an egotist bastard. What more evidence do you need than his girlfriend, who is coincidentally an Flushing Meadows.

After beating Stepanek through a retirement due to injury on the Czech’s behalf, Lleyton was commenting on his next opponent, Paradorn Srichaphan from Thailand.

“He’s a good ball stroker”

I fell over in laughter. I wonder how many more saw through the tennis talk – as incorrect as it was.

Bum

Laziness got the better of me last night and instead of going out to Kel’s party I stayed at home and bummed bigtime. I dunno – after a day of pracing, and then beers at Jake’s house, I couldn’t really be fucked partying. Plus it was the first Saturday night at home for weeks and weeks. Ahhhhh…

4/6 IA’s done

Well, to most people that this weekend signifies the end of Internal Assessment. Guess what? NOT FOR ME. I still have pracs to be handed in (or rather, written up) for both Physics and Chemistry, and as such a weekend that was going to be spent idling and having fun for the first time in a long time is instead going to be one big study session. Shit.

There is however Kel’s party on tomorrow night. You know Neil Mitchell if you live in Melbourne. His daughter’s 18th.

A letter to my stalker.

To my dear Stalker,
Maybe thats a bit harsh, I know you aren’t stalking me, infact you are probablly a mate, BUT I’d like to know WHO you are. Someone using OptusNet (an Australian ISP) has been refreshing my site lots (like 20 times a day) for the last few days. If you could kindly comment and let me know who you are, it would be greatly appreciated and a deep persistant itch for that particular piece of knowledge will be forever wiped from my conscience.

I’m a little pressure cooker….

My english teacher today enlightened me to a point of my personality that some people regard as a personal vice, yet others regard as a great quality. He was refering to my handling of pressure, or more accurately the fact that however little work I do, I never seem to worry too much about it. It was in the context of way overdue work or something and it was intended as a genuine compliment, but got me thinking. Maybe I’m not taking this whole thing as seriously as I should be. Maybe I will fall flat on my face and get a score in the eighties, ending up doing pool hygiene at Wonthaggi institute of TAFE or something. A long, long way from medicine, thats for sure.

I dunno, it just feels too late to pull the finger out. Ugh.

Time for random subject #1 – length of days

It’s now been 2 months and 5 days since the shortest day of the year (longest for all you Northern hemisphere FREAKS) and already the effects of the lengthening days are showing. I just realised it is now 6 oclock and yet it is still reasonably bright out. Admitedly in the height of Summer you don’t get total darkness until about 9:30 or 10pm, but thats with daylight saving and we’re still months away from that shit. At least we don’t live in London or some other hapless shithole that gets dark at 4pm in the winter. Fuck that would be depressing.

PETEblog recorded it’s 9000th visitor today, largely thanks to my manwhorage of Saturday night (and yes, I copped an awful lot of shit at school today). Big it up! Anyhoo I would make a super-dooper special prize but I think it was me anyway. If only huh??

2 of 4 formals/ap’s out of the way

So, the formal was a success. Although all formals these days become the long, drawn out affairs that serve only really as a sobering up period between the before-party and the after-party, at least this one was somewhat enjoyable. There were heaps more year 12′s than I had counted on there being, and through my socialising during Jesus Christ Superstar, I knew an awful lot of year 11′s anywy.

Formal time…… again

Woah, very scarse blogging that week. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll get over it.

Year 11 formal tonight. I don’t think I’m that pumped, formals are still very ‘meh’ even when they are someone elses. Oh well, at least there’s BJ there to keep me company and the afterparty is sure to exhibit some year 12′s trying to GET IN THE PANTS OF YOUNG’UNS… tsk tsk although admittedly haf of them are the same age as us…..

Anyway, I’m off to launch 2 comments
