yay

joy for the end of the year!

Had my last exam today, Chemistry. It was ok, and i suppose i did well in it, but I’m just friggin glad its all over and done with.

I went and saw the second Harry Potter movie with some friends today. I’d heard rave reviews from people but in my mind, sure it was darker and scarier than the first (yeah whoopdie doo), but it still followed the book too closely. I really admire what Pete Jackson has done to the LOTR movies especially the cutting of that Bombadil freak. That was the best thing anyone could have done to any movie. Tom friggin Bombadil is the most annoying THING I know… hold on thats with the possible exception of Jar Jar Binks in star wars. Anyway back to potter. I really enjoyed the books, and I’ve been hanging out to see this movie for a long time, but frankly it dissapointed. It was too long (2 hours 40 minutes) for a single harry potter movie, and as I said before it lacked variation of the plot from that of the book. For those who had read the book (I’d assume almost everyone that has/will gone/go to see it has) It lacks excitement and unexpectedness. Meh not everything is perfect, and the second book was the dud of the series, so its somewhat excusable.

Don’t get me wrong, overall it was still quite good, it’s just from what I had heard I was expecting better. Maybe the changing of directors for movie 3 will spruce things up a bit.

PS Stupid family has used our 3gb for the month. We can log onto a friends and use theirs, but they are online most of the day, and telstra only allow one concurrent connection. Meh you’ll just have to wait till Sunday. :P – Pete

whoops

apologies for my absence recently. A 12V adaptor in a 4V cable modem meant the thing blew up and we had to get Telstra in today to replace it. Now instead of a slick grey nortel modem we have this chunky white motorola one. ugh.

I’ve only got 3 more exams!!! BTW, English and History on Monday were great, and Physics today was decent, after all its just applying formula after formula. The two I’m most worried about are tomorrow – Spanish and Maths, and lonesome old Chem on Friday should be a walk in the park. see you all later.

i really SHOULD be studying

meh out of boredom and a good business idea, Jamie and I decided to pimp Phona. Damn good decision it was too. She’s made us so much money we bought our dream PIMP MOBILE.
Now we can go around and pick up our money in our menacing PINK car with really big wheels that the sun is wicked jealous about.

pimpmobile mark 2

exams… death to all

ugh, exams start tomorrow. History at 8:30 for 3hrs then English at 1:10 for another 3hrs… god damn it.

On a positive note I went in to Burnley College yesterday to take part in phase two of the Anderson Cinema recruitment thingymabob. They’ll ring me by Thursday to either tell me to fuck off or to offer me an interview for final round selections in Epping. Yay! Although I also found out that the cinemas open in March, and I was hoping for a summer job. Oh well, another summer spent poor and jobless.

yesterday, our long awaited Aussie Open tickets finally arrived after a hellishly long time trying to get a complaint through. We bought them in october after lining up overnight, and although we have 2nd row seats in a 15,000 seat tennnis stadium (thats BIG for tennis, Flushing meadows is bigger but its stupidly big… kinda reflective of the american ego), we are in the direct sunlight all day (if you were australian you’d know why this is mega bad) and the umpires chair is blocking the corner view of the court.

So after we actually got the tickets, which Ticketek randomly chose as the best available (we had no choice whatsoever) we went into head office and complained. They took the tickets and a month and a half later, nothing had changed, so they returned them with an apologetic letter promising reforms for next year. Stupid bloody businesses.

Of course on the positive side they are here at last, and they are still DAMN sexy…. ten days of tennis, (drool). Of course I’ve hidden the barcodes so you can’t print this out and steal my seat, and the card number on the receipt ticket for obvious reasons…

sexy huh?Click

dammit i got a haircut today. I had nice long boof hair that I liked but no-one else did, but I’m going for a phase 2 job interview tomorrow and it was getting to the festy and rather ugly for everyone else stage… If you want to know exactly how long that is, ask Nadine, when I met her it was exactly that long.

Anyhoo rather pathetically I feel naked and shit without my hair… and to add insult it looks el stupidone… /me cries

onwards year 12

Meh school finished as far as official lessons went today. We still have a week of exams, but as far as i’m concerned I’M OUTTA HERE!

Laura somehow twigged as to our little trick last week, but Hannah didn’t. She’s one of those people that is very, very smart, but doesn’t take well to things such as jokes or pranks. She cried when we were discussing the September 11 happenings on the 12th, and… you get the picture. Anyway Laura and I decided that ignorance is bliss, as long as she doesn’t find out that the reason her graph is 342% wrong is me. An angry Hannah is not something you want on your mind or chasing you down the street with a big gun. Hah the prank was still worth it, even if I don’t live to see another day.

PETEucation week has been prematurely finished

you all suck. I tried to be fun and creative and it didn’t work. So back to boring old factual blogs with nothing but how I feel and what I’m doing. Hah sucks to be you. No more learning of rubber ducks or animals drinking too much bourbon. nup. Back to the OLD peteblog.

(this is actually less because of what is stated in the last paragraph and more to do with laziness)

PETEucation – day 3

Ahh the wonders of a good peteucation.

On todays menu: Drinking guidelines for animals. (My creativity ran out so I’m finding shit from last years FHM’s)

When animals drink too much....

On another note I got a call from Andersons, I made it to Phase II of the employment application. I have to turn up to Burnley High or something and have a group interview with 5 or 6 others on Saturday now.

PETEucation – day 2

Well now I expect you are all ducked out…. well NOT SO QUICKLY. Ducks are large parts of PETEucation week…. well 2 days worth.

Another neccesary event one MUST possess in ones knowledge banks is the IFOUNDADUCK race/event thingy.
duckspin
Here is another one of those pub ideas that generally never come to fruition, but in this case did. Some guy decided that it was about time he released 500 rubber ducks into the London Metropolis with necktags displaying the ifoundaduck webpage and an identification tag (DUC001-DUC500) so that a finder logs on the the site, logs the finding of the duck, and dumps the poor little bastard somewhere else to be found again. about 4 made it to Australia, plenty more to the US, and lots around Europe. People can even take photos of the duck, name it and have it posted against the ducks identification. Tres cool idea.

Talking about that, it asks anyone that wants to spend countless days looking after, labelling and releasing these poor ducks into the wilderness to do exactly that… there are quite a few off and running, I thought a Melbourne based duck race might be quite fun. Hah if only i could be bothered or rich enough to buy and label 50-500 ducks just to release them again….
